Performance
There’s a range of petrol and diesel engines to choose from. With Volkswagen predicting diesels will be the bigger seller, let’s start with those.
Diesel
motor 2.0 TDI 110kW / 150pk top speed 222 km/u 0 - 100 km/u 9.4 seconds price €44.038
motor 2.0 TDI 140kW / 190pk top speed 238 km/u 0 - 100 km/u 8.0 seconds price €49.331

*These prices are based on the Netherlands with a basic configuration (Business R) and will increase by adding options.
Depending on the model, it comes with a six-speed manual gearbox or seven-speed DSG automatic, all models have an 22% addition (bijtelling) to their price for the Netherlands.
The VW Arteon will launch in the summer of 2018 in the United States with a 2.0-litre 268 hp aight-speed DSG automatic.
Conclusion
The Volkswagen Arteon looks stunning, has a lot of options by default and has a wide array of powerful engines to choose from. Although, it is missing the 'prestige' badge... are you willing to pay that kind of money for a Volkswagen or do you rather go for a Mercedes-Benz, Audi or BMW?
